Exit M62 at Junction 23

Take the 4th exit at the roundabout, signposted A 640 Rochdale and Outlane (New Hey Road). ..... This takes you back over the motorway.

After approx. 1 mile ..... just after pub on your right ..... turn left, signposted Scapegoat Hill and Golcar (Round Ings Road) to go over motorway ..... Go over the motorway and keep right at the top of the hill (now Halifax Road)

At slanting T Junction ..... go right, signposted Golcar, Milnsbridge and Slaithwaite.

At next crossroads ..... turn sharp back left ..... sign for ‘Weavers Shed’ (Pike Law)

Proceed downhill for approx. 1 mile (now Swallow Lane) ..... houses on both sides

Near to bottom of hill ..... opposite Golcar Brewery building on the left ..... Turn right into Cricket Field ..... immediately alongside and after the ‘Commercial’ pub on your right

You have gone too far if you see the war Memorial on your left and The Co-op on your right!

Exit M62 at junction 24 (there is no exit from the east at Junction 23)

Down short length of Dual Carriageway ..... Take 1st exit at roundabout, signposted A 643 Rochdale (Lindley Moor Road)

After approx. 1 mile ..... At next roundabout take 3rd exit, signposted A640 Rochdale and Outlane (New Hey Road)

Follow instructions as M62 West.

Take the A 62 out of Huddersfield Centre, signposted Oldham (Manchester Road)

After approx. 0.5 miles ..... Pass ‘Wickes’ DIY store on your left ..... go straight forward at the junctions with 2 sets of close together lights ..... keeping on main Manchester Road, signposted Milnsbridge and Slaithwaite

After 100 yds ..... under Railway bridge ..... At traffic lights still keep right on main road (Manchester Road)

After approx. 0.5 miles ..... At ‘Warren House’ pub on the left ..... turn right, signposted Milnsbridge, Golcar, Longwood (Whiteley Street)

Go down the hill ..... over the small bridge ..... and meet the one way system going around the shops ..... bearing left (Yates Lane) ..... and then right into (Morley Lane) ...... and then immediate left over river bridge (Market Street) ..... to traffic lights

At traffic lights ..... turn left ..... going up the hill, signposted Golcar and Colne Valley Museum (B 6111 Scar Lane)

Forward at mini roundabout ..... over Railway Bridge ..... forward at next mini roundabout ..... pass ‘British Legion’ on your left.

Keep up hill on main road ..... past ‘Junction’ pub on left (Knowl Road) ..... past ‘Rose and Crown’ pub on right ..... past Parish Church on right ..... past Co-op on your left

Around the left hand bend ..... after approx. 200 yards ..... turn left into Cricket Field ..... immediately before ‘Commercial Pub’ on your left.
